Particle Physics is a living subject.  Many UK universities have a 
research group working in the field.  These are a resource which you
can and should make use of in keeping up to date with developments..

The following is a list of contacts for use by anyone teaching Particle 
Physics.   These are professional researchers who will welcome enquiries
from teachers, be they on awkward questions from bright pupils
about course material, or about media stories on new discoveries, or 
about arranging visiting speakers or school visits to their institute,
or just explaining something unfamiliar in the course material that you
feel you need to know more about to be confident when teaching it. .   

They are enthusiastic about their subject, and are more than  
happy to encourage people to learn more about it. They know that they are 
on this list, and will be expecting your phone call.
