The W Boson:
Production & Decay

The W boson can be produced from proton / anti-proton collisions but, like the Z boson, it is an unstable particle and decays almost immediately. As with the Z° boson there are leptonic and hadronic decay modes, however the W boson can have a charge of ±e.
