Fellowships

Many bodies offer fellowship schemes which can be held in the Particle Physics Group. Provided below are a number of possible sources of funding and contact details for staff who can provide guidance and assist with your proposal. Note that applications have to be made with the institution and so it is important to contact us in the first instance.

Royal Society Fellowships

The Royal Society run a number of schemes including the University Research Fellowships which are open to applicants with between two and seven years postdoctoral research experience . Funding is for five years in the first instance. More details can be found on the Royal Society website, and we will be happy to discuss possibilities with potential applicants. The deadline for this year's applications is imminent so if you are interested in discussing this possibility please contact Stefan.Soldner-Rembold@manchester.ac.uk as soon as possible, and definitely by 17th August.

STFC Fellowships

We welcome expressions of interest from possible candidates for STFC fellowships in accelerator physics, theoretical or experimental particle physics, at the advanced level. If you are interested in discussing this possibility please read the school document and contact Stefan.Soldner-Rembold@manchester.ac.uk as soon as possible, and definitely by 21st August as we have a fixed quota which is filling up fast.
